Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site monitoring visits using tools and checklists aligned with the project workplan and schedule provided by national and regional M&E Officers.
  • Collect and submit field data consistently, providing timely reports to regional and national M&E teams.
  • Monitor various project activities (e.g., community engagement, surveys, warehouses, distribution sites) and report on implementation quality.
  • Verify data as requested by M&E teams.
  • Support data collection for project assessments (e.g., post-distribution monitoring, baseline and endline surveys).
  • Assess NAC warehouses, reporting on suitability for secure storage of tools and supplies.
  • Conduct beneficiary interviews to capture insights from rural communities.
  • Attend all required training sessions and workshops.
  • Uphold NAC principles in all duties performed.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Responsibilities

Language Proficiency

Fluency in local languages (Dari, Pashto, Uzbeki) with a working knowledge of English.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of relevant technical experience.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring and evaluation practices.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within provinces, including frequent visits to northern (Badakhshan, Takhar), northwestern (Faryab), southern (Ghazni, Paktika), central (Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Panjshir), and southeastern (Khost, Paktia) regions.
Work Experience

At least two years of experience in a relevant technical role.

Skills
  • Proficient communication skills with a strong understanding of local communities.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with beneficiaries, local authorities, and team members.
  • Basic computer and mobile application skills, including MS Office, Kobo Toolbox, and ODK Collect.
  • Respectful understanding of local customs and cultural practices.
