Street Child is dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to attend school and receive a quality education. Our projects integrate education, child protection, and livelihood support to tackle the social, economic, and structural challenges contributing to the current education crisis. We work closely with local organizations and communities to implement locally adapted programs, using evidence to guide learning, improve program effectiveness, and scale impact to benefit as many children as possible at minimal cost.
Street Child is committed to reaching the world’s most challenging environments, including remote, hard-to-reach areas and fragile, disaster-affected regions across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Since 2008, we have helped over 500,000 children attend school and learn, while also empowering more than 33,000 caregivers to establish businesses, enabling them to support their children’s education.
