Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager

Job Description

Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks:

  • Design and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor expectations.
  • Establish clear indicators and methodologies for effective project monitoring and evaluation.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Lead the creation and application of data collection tools, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate project performance and impact.

Reporting:

  • Produce high-quality monthly and final reports on project outcomes, emphasizing achievements, challenges, and insights gained.
  • Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and tailored to meet the needs of donors, partners, and the TACT board.

Proposal Writing:

  • Collaborate with program teams to develop project proposals, effectively incorporating M&E elements.
  • Conduct research and gather supporting data to strengthen proposal narratives with evidence-based insights.

Capacity Building:

  • Provide training and support to project teams and partners on best practices, tools, and methodologies in M&E.
  • Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement through workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage closely with donors, partners, and beneficiaries to integrate their perspectives into M&E processes.
  • Represent TACT at external meetings, seminars, and workshops focused on M&E and project performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and suggest improvements to M&E systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on the latest M&E trends, tools, and technologies, integrating relevant innovations into organizational practices.

Responsibilities

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, ideally within the humanitarian sector.
  • Fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto.
  • Proven track record of writing high-quality reports and funding proposals that have successfully secured project funding.
  • Advanced proficiency in Kobo Toolbox and ODK Collect.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in statistical software and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with M&E frameworks, including the Logical Framework Approach and Theory of Change.
